Candida is a normal resident of the digestive tract, as are many other species of bacteria that become overgrown in SIBO. The idea is not to completely wipe out these species, but to get things back into balance. In this botanical, nutrient based protocol, we are using powerful anti-fungals, to fight the overgrowth and then follow that with a strong probiotic to repopulate the gut as well as antioxidants to fight inflammation. It is important to say here though, that if you are unsure that you have Candida or yeast overgrowth specifically, you should test before deciding which route to go.
